The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) is an independent statutory authority established by the Australian Government to maintain an impartial and independent electoral system for eligible voters through active electoral roll management, efficient delivery of polling services, and targeted education and public awareness programs.

The Team
The AEC has a dispersed network of 151 electoral divisions, 38 of which are located across Victoria including a State Office in the Melbourne CBD and a number of single and multi-divisional office sites across the state.
There is currently the Service Officers vacancy in Bendigo and Geelong. The Service Officers will support the Divisional Office Manager and work alongside a small dynamic team.
For the delivery of a federal election or local by-elections, staffing rapidly expands to help manage the increased workload around risk management, fast moving project work and logistical activities, media, and public scrutiny.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a versatile and energetic people to undertake a range of administrative functions in areas of enrolment and election management, and project management and delivery.
The functions include processing special categories of enrolment and contributing to the planning and project management of key election activities including recruitment, staffing and leading the delivery of a number of projects, ensuring communication flows seamlessly and accurately to the Divisional Office Manager.
During an election, the Service Officers may also be required to supervise a small team as well as provide training to aid in the delivery of planned activities.
